Canon wanted to create a sample kit to showcase how its line of digital inkjet presses can use a variety of new print media to produce high‑quality, dynamic retail packaging and labels. The kit needed to function as a cohesive package that helped the Canon sales team demonstrate the possibilities of digital inkjet for personalized gift applications, while also providing a larger quantity of samples printed on uncoated paper.

A holiday gifting kit proved to be the perfect vehicle to capture the outstanding print quality and versatility of Canon’s digital inkjet presses — and who wouldn’t be excited to unbox a little holiday cheer?

Solution

With a festive gift box as the kit container, we designed a wide range of samples for seasonal and year-round use. Print samples in the gift box include:

A personalized kraft wrapping paper for a boy and girl birthday, wedding, graduation, the holiday season
Small holiday-themed gift bag
Die cut gift tags

Holiday cards

To highlight the value of collaboration in the print industry, the kit was co‑branded with several print media providers, including Neenah Paper, Metsä Group, and industry‑leading finishing provider Standard.
