Project Brief

Canon Europe wanted to create a vibrant, colorful print piece to demonstrate the quality and capabilities of the company’s ColorStream 8000 series web-fed inkjet press. The piece needed to be stylish but also functional to showcase how the right combination of these two characteristics can create projects that play a key role in the everyday lives of users. 

To meet this need, Canon designed a personal journal and planner to spark exploration and growth without boundaries or expectations. 

Solution

This perfect bound planner features soft-touch lamination on the cover and high-quality color photographs on the interior pages. With no set dates, this planner can be used at any time of the year with the ability to set goals or milestones in four-week increments — this gives users the opportunity to forge a path toward discovery at a pace that best suits their needs.  

The pages were printed on Accent® Opaque Super Smooth 80 lb. Text with ImageLok® Technology for a smooth, soothing texture. The cover was printed on Accent Opaque Heavyweights 120 lb. to capture the stunning color quality of the mosaic-style cover art. 

The interior pages were produced on the Canon ColorStream 8000 series web-fed inkjet press, and the cover was printed on the Canon imagePRESS V1350 cutsheet color press.

The unmatched quality of digital inkjet print created a fun and visually stunning tool to help users document their personal exploration — a true keepsake of their journey to wherever they want to go.
