 Project Brief

Canon hosts an annual gathering for thINK, a community of Canon production inkjet customers. The event, called thINK Ahead, features a trip to the Canon Americas Customer Innovation Center (CIC), a centerpiece of which is a showcase of innovative digital inkjet projects.   
Canon also wanted a physical print piece as a takeaway for thINK Ahead attendees. The piece needed to be functional and also demonstrate the superior color and print quality of Canon’s digital presses. 

 Solution

We designed the Inkjet Innovation Project Book as a guide to the outstanding print projects featured in the CIC. The saddle stitched booklet was printed in full color to spotlight the impressive color quality of both the featured projects and the booklet itself. 

We also made the booklet an interactive guide by including quick response (QR) codes that launched videos for a more in-depth look at both the thINK Ahead event and the featured projects. 

To emphasize the capability of Canon’s digital inkjet presses to integrate unique, fun finishings, we designed the cover of the booklet to include a rainbow holographic foil to enhance the visual and sensory appeal. This finishing took the booklet from a helpful guide to a stand-out showpiece that truly wowed attendees.
